Today is International Food Waste Awareness Day Did you know: 🍎 1/3 of food produced in Aotearoa is lost or wasted from farm to fork. 🍎 Worldwide we waste 1.3 billion tonnes of food a year (that's $1.4 trillion NZD). 🍎 If global food waste were a country, it would be the world’s third-biggest greenhouse gas polluter after China and the United States. We support @nzchampions123, a coalition from New Zealand's food supply chain working towards the UN Sustainable Development Goal target 12.3 to halve food waste by 2030. Give them a follow for ideas and ways to get involved as a 'Citizen of 12.3.' 💪🌏 One of our Founders, Bobby, has been helping facilitate workshops with Tessa & the team - so you might just see us at the next event!
